Why don't miracles happen today?

“You are the God who does wonders; You have declared Your strength among the peoples.” – Psalm 77:14
The Bible is full of miracles. A woman ninety years old having a child. The dead being raised to life. The walls of a city falling down at just a shout. Men walking on water. This happened to people just like you and me… but why don’t we see miracles like this today?
Maybe the reason why we don’t see many miracles today… is because we don’t really need them. If we get sick, we go to the doctor. If we run out of food in the fridge, we go to the grocery store. If we have a catastrophe, we pull out our cell phone and call a friend. If we have a question, we ask Google – and get an answer.
We can do without miracles.

Or can we?
Is this another case of “a form of godliness but denying its power” (see 2 Timothy 3)? Have our lives become so comfortable that we really can survive without a God of miracles? Has society really degenerated so much that we really prefer Google to prayer?
Maybe when we start going to the Great Physician instead of to the doctor, running to Heaven’s storehouses instead of to the grocery store, calling on God instead of calling on friends, asking His wisdom instead of Google’s… maybe when we put ourselves in a place where we cannot survive without the God of miracles, that’s when He will show up.
“So Jesus said to them, ‘Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, “Move from here to there,” and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.’” – Matthew 17:20
PS. I’ll give you a little hint: bringing lost souls to Jesus definitely qualifies as a place where you cannot survive without the God of miracles.
