Jesus - Mission Failed?

Jesus wasn’t a Seventh-day Adventist.*

He didn’t start a megachurch – or any church, for that matter, in His 33 years on earth.

The things He said didn’t make sense to anyone, not even to His disciples.

He spent only three years of His life doing what we would consider ministry, and even then, only in an area smaller than most of the US states.

He healed people who would get sick and die again.

He only ended up with 12 followers, every one of whom disappeared when things got intense.

But – all those things added up and made a big difference.

The moral of the story? You’re not going to see the difference. Be faithful anyway.

Because what are we here for anyway? Technically it’s not our job to change the world – the Holy Spirit does that. We are just here to plant the seeds. Spread Jesus’ love across the entire world, regardless of the outcome. That’s disinterested benevolence.

And – maybe it was all just about the revival in our own hearts anyway…

*Not that these things are bad and we shouldn't do them either, you understand. :)
