Greetings from a very blessed Here I Am Send Me 360 team!

“And I heard the voice of the Lord saying,

‘Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?’

Then I said, ‘Here I am! Send me.’”

Isaiah 6:8, ESV

We had no idea what to expect, organizing the teen department at Montana Campmeeting – this would be our first time leading a program such as this, and for many, our first time attending Montana Campmeeting altogether.

As our team frantically tried to get the Wednesday evening meeting started, teenagers started pouring in. We were excited that there were so many young people there, but it wasn’t until we overheard someone from the conference office talking about it that we were really shocked: apparently there were only 10 teens last year; this year there were 40! Praise God!

One lady at campmeeting was feeling very discouraged. On Friday night she finally prayed, “God, if you really love me, please let me know somehow!” Early Sabbath morning she went out to her car… and there, on her window, was a sticky note: God loves you.

What she didn’t know was that all the teenagers had been writing encouraging words on sticky notes and posting them all over the campus. And just because we were willing to be used by God, He had used us to be part of a miracle in that one lady’s life.

Friday was evangelism day! We took all 40 teens downtown, arms full of The Great Controversy, violins, and trumpets, and spent an hour ministering to shoppers.

One group decided, “Let’s go to the Dairy Queen and share books there!” Never mind the fact that it was six blocks away and they were walking.

A few minutes later the group was coming close to their destination. They met a construction worker who took a book for himself and two for his friends, and a woman and a security guard who also each took a book.

And then the group turned around and worked their way back to where they had started from, all thoughts of Dairy Queen forgotten.

“I wonder,” said the leader of that group, “if the Lord just had us go that direction just because we needed to meet those people?”

It’s been one year since I started the Here I Am Send Me blog. I remember filling out the Here I Am Send Me application; answering all the questions and filling in all the lines, and, at the end, signing my name. Somehow that moment is clearly etched into my memory, almost as if I was signing my life away: Here I am, Lord, send me wherever You will.

I suppose I was signing my life away, after all.

Here I am, Lord, send me wherever You will.

But what I could have never imagined were all the miracles I have seen, the blessings God has poured out, the ways He has worked. It would take a million posts to share every little blessing, and it would take a thousand days to tell all that God has done, but suffice it to say, when you give God your life, He gives it back a THOUSAND times over.

Today, do you sign your life away? Here I am, Lord, send me wherever You will?

A thousand times, yes.

“You will show me the path of life;

In Your presence is fullness of joy;

At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”

Psalm 16:11, NKJV
